Yesterday, we had the opportunity to spend some time with Piper Kerman, author of Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison. During our one-on-one time, we talked about opportunities to support children of incarcerated parents.
Later in the evening, we were able to attend Piper’s presentation at Bridgewater College, where she spoke about the current state of America’s prison system. This was a wonderful opportunity for The Messages Project to learn more about new ways to support families affected by parental incarceration. Thank you, Piper!
